Our company
Sky Lanterns are a safer, quieter alternative to fireworks. They are simple to launch and create an amazing visual spectacle in the night sky.
We first spotted Sky Lanterns at a New Year celebration. As hundreds floated over the night sky welcoming in the New Year, we thought to ourselves that this amazing product should be available to the masses in Europe. Looking round at the time, they were difficult to get hold of, despite fireworks being available almost anywhere!
We set about sourcing a manufacturer to make them for us and created our own brand. Not content with simply ordering in stock, we spent months designing improvments on regular Chinese Sky Lanterns.
Sky Orbs Lanterns
Sky Orbs Lanterns are unique compared to others. We've worked closely with UK Trading Standards to create a safe product with significant improvements on other designs.
Our fuel cells are non-drip and easier to light unlike other brands. The wax contained in them is recycled using the discarded candles from Buddhist Temples.
The method of holding the fuel cell to the frame has come under much controvesy in the media. Claims that there was a danger to animals eating the wire, although far-fetched, were recorded so we developed a fabric fireproof wool to hold this on, making our lanterns the first 100% biodegradable lanterns on the market.
Finally, we were the first company to offer printed lanterns with celebration phrases already on, thus avoiding pens puncturing the lantern when users were writing their own messages.
